Real Steel Reviews: Kimber 1911 Tactical Pro II

This page will be where real steel reviews are performed. THESE ARE NOT AIRSOFT REPLICAS.

So my first .45 was the Kimber 1911 Tactical Pro II. If you can get past the price tag then go for it. Still made in America. The version I have is the Pro which is a 4 inch barrel. The weight loaded with 7 or 8 rd magazine is not too heavy not too light. The finish is top notch. It comes stock with tritium night sights (radioactive glow in the dark sights). The slide pull is not too heavy but the slide lock is stiff out of the box. After a couple hundred rounds it seems to have lightened up quite a bit. It is extremely accurate and any shots off target are user error not the firearm. It is highly recommended to go with the wilson combat magazines rather than the stock, however I have not had any issues yet. The recoil is not too heavy and it is easy to follow up for a second shot. They are easily concealable if you are going for CCW, not not so small it feels like it cant be gripped. The Tac Pro II has a full size 1911 grip which is great for hands of any size. The double diamond pattern keeps it from slipping at all. I have not had a single issue and am about halfway through the break in period.

My recommendation: Buy
Best features: Night sights, Grip, Slim frame
Cons: Some people have experienced issues
